Description:
The aim of this course is to provide participants with tips and methods for the creation and adaptation of audiovisual resources (movies, music clips, documentaries, news, their own videos...) to teach their subjects in a more effective way. This seminar is not only aimed at language teachers but also to those who wish to incorporate new motivating strategies into their classes.
The use of audiovisual resources has become extremely popular and videos are often the most powerful means to convey messages. Students can actively engage in video projects to dig deeper into the subjects they are dealing with. Video making helps student to absorb and retain ideas, as well as in the development of communicative, critical, social and creative skills. In addition to this, by video making, pupils can enhance their writing, speaking, listening and reading skills.
By the end of the course, all participants will be familiar with basic movie making techniques: writing a script in accordance with their teaching objectives, basic movie shooting, editing techniques, as well as dubbing and adding subtitles in a creative manner using tools such as ClipFlair.
